Jesus is Coming Like a Thief in the Night
The Lord is the day of Christ’s return and of God’s judgment on the earth. Peter repeated a warning used by Jesus Christ, that this day will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Christ’s second coming will be swift, sudden, unexpected, and terrible for those who do not believe in him. The day of the Lord will be a time of judgment.
